As the holiday season approaches, don't forget about Fieldstone's annual offerings and events.
I'm sure that all of you with young children and grandchildren are aware of our Santa Brunch tradition. Hopefully you have made your reservations, as both days are currently sold out.
Our holiday lunch buffets are typically held during the week bookended by the Santa Brunches. This year they will be Wednesday December 12th, Thursday the 13th and Friday the 14th. They are a wonderful opportunity to entertain family, friends and co-workers with excellent food and the welcoming surroundings of the club. The menus can be found in the Upcoming Events section.
Entertaining at home for the holidays? Need to bring a dish when visiting relatives but you just can't find the time? "Fieldstone @ Home" to the rescue! We offer a variety of salads, sides and hors d'oeuvre. As well as whole or half hams, pies, cookies and cannoli. If you don't see what your looking for, just let us know how we can help and we'll do our best to help free up some of your valuable time during this busy holiday season. The menus can be found on the Fieldstone website.
Your source for food & beverage news, information, and upcoming events at Fieldstone. After a round of golf, your second course awaits you in the clubhouse.

winding down
As summer winds down we near the end of golf season and unfortunately the end of local tomato and corn season as well. It's always a sad day when we sell our last tomato-mozzarella salad of the year, (and within the next week or so we will) but it only makes us look forward to next summer even more.
Thanks to all who came out for Brazilian Steakhouse night on Labor Day. This has proven to be one of our most well attended events of the year. I had several requests for the recipe for the pao de queijo (cheese bread) so I posted it in the recipe section.
Hope to see you out at the club for one of the exciting events on the calendar this fall:
9/19 - Lobster Night
10/4 - Craft Beer Tasting
10/6 - Oktoberfest Dinner Specials
10/25 - Uinta Brewing Company Beer Dinner

cinco de mayo
Come join us tomorrow night for our annual Cinco de Mayo celebration! We will be featuring a variety of Mexican appetizers, entrees and drink specials in addition to our regular menu. A full description of the specials can be found in the upcoming events section. Be sure to call ahead, as this is always a popular event and seating will be limited.
(while sometimes mistakenly reffered to as Mexico's "Independance Day," the holiday which has basically been co-opted by alcohol companies and turned into an American drinking tradition, actually celebrates the 1862 Battle of Puebla, in which outnumbered Mexican forces defeated the invading French army.)

beautiful day
Almost 80 degrees on a Friday in March? Sounds like a great oppurtunity to enjoy an early dinner at one of our highly sought after patio tables.
We will be featuring stone crab claws again this weekend, but supplies were tight so they won't last long.
Next week is our first "featured wine" night. You'll be able to taste a red and a white wine that we have specifically paired with our specials for the evening. The wines will also be available for purchase. Check back on Monday when I'll post all the specifics.

we're back!
My apologies for the long stretch between posts. I'll be sure to post information regarding upcoming events on a regular basis as we head into the season. I hope everyone who came out for Valentine's Day and our Fat Tuesday specials enjoyed themselves. It was certainly nice seeing so many of you back out at the club.
For those of you who have never tried stone crab claws, I highly recommend you to try them up at the club while they are in season. We have an excellent source that overnights them to us from Florida, but the season only lasts until May 15th. We'll have them available approximately every other week till then. Stone crabmeat has a firm texture and a sweet, succulent flavor. Due to the sustainable fishing habbits used in harvesting the crabs, they are considered a "Best Choice" by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch.
